Extended diagnostic POST


  1. Drop to the open boot prom
  2. Set the following parameters:
    3. ok}  setenv auto-boot? false
ok}  setenv diag-switch? true
ok}  setenv diag-level max
ok}  setenv diag-device disk
  3. Alternately, you can set the values from the system-level:
    4. #  eeprom "auto-boot?=false"
#  eeprom "diag-switch?=true"
#  eeprom "diag-level=max"
#  eeprom "diag-device=disk"
  4. Turn the system off and wait a minute
  5. Turn the system on and watch the POST, preferably on a serial console
